In this study, we determine the agriculture sector’s competitive ability in both the domestic and international market amidst the drastic changes in economic growth in recent years. In order to define this, we look into the market situation of both the farming and livestock sectors, their ability to compete in the global market, their export advantage and possibilities for improvement. We then focus on the standard of living of local communities in the countryside. We look into their income levels, livestock numbers, investment into the agriculture sector, loans to community members, and the prices of livestock products.
